NABA Summer Courses

Founded in 1980, NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) is the largest art academy in Italy. NABA is the first Italian university to be ranked among the world's top 50 universities in the field of art and design, according to the QS World University Rankings 2026.

NABA's short-term courses are based on the principle of practical workshops, where instruction is conducted in English, under the guidance of leading Italian specialists in the field. The program is a synthesis of theoretical knowledge and intensive practice — ideal for those who want to refine their creative skills and enrich their professional portfolio. Each two-week session gives participants the opportunity to earn 3 CFA (academic credits).

The courses are held in Milan and Rome. The program represents a condensed version of the academy's most important experience (know-how) and offers students a complete overview of contemporary visual and applied arts.

Students will have the opportunity to work on real projects under the guidance of leading lecturers and professionals. The teaching is focused on the cultural and art scenarios of these two historic cities.

Course format:
The duration of each course is 2 weeks. It is possible to combine several modules in different periods, which will allow you to compose a 2, 4, or 6-week session. This is the best way to fully experience NABA's interdisciplinary approach.

The programs are available to everyone, from beginners to professionals. Applicants are distributed into groups of the appropriate level based on experience: Introductory, Intermediate, Advanced, Experience Courses.

The university offers students accommodation in partnership with MIL Service (Milano International Living Service). Students will be accommodated in apartments or residences near the campus, which are provided with all necessary conditions.

Rome:
Cinecittà World is the park where cinema comes to life. With sets, themed areas and filminspired attractions, you walk through worlds that feel straight out of a movie. Shows and scenic zones make every moment unique, with plenty of activities to try.
Aqua World is the water area of the park, perfect for taking a break and spending time in the water with friends. Slides, pools, music and relaxing spaces make it easy to unwind between one ride and the next. Ideal on warm days or as a calm pause after the main attractions.
Apericena on a Rooftop in Rome: Enjoy an exclusive apericena on one of the most captivating rooftops in Rome. Admire the city skyline while savoring drinks and culinary delights in a chic and relaxed atmosphere.
Mini Cruise on the River Tevere: The mini cruise on the River Tevere offers a calm and scenic view of the city. Sailing along the water, you can see bridges, historic buildings and hidden corners you can’t notice from the streets. A short but special experience that adds something unique to the day.
