About the School

Village Camps is a Swiss-based international educational organization that for more than 50 years brings together children and teenagers coming from different countries of the world in international summer campsin Switzerland, Austria and Portugal

Educational programs include educational, sports, and recreational activities, which combine learning, adventure, and personal development and  promote personal development, independence, teamwork, and cultural integration, which prepares young people for success in an international environment.

Village Camps operates in various European countries and owns its own infrastructure in Switzerland, including the famous Swiss Alpine Centre in Leysin, which is located in the Alps and provides a safe and impressive environment for international students. 

Village Camps pays special attention to the safety and well-being of students — qualified staff, their intensive training, and high supervision standards ensure a safe and comfortable environment for each child.

Curriculum

Leadership Training 
    The leadership program is designed for teenagers who want to develop leadership, conflict management, public speaking, and teamwork skills. 
    Participants work on practical projects, attend sessions by guest speakers, and participate in T.A.L.E. leadership activities, which are built on competitive contests where participants are divided into teams and given various tasks, such as visiting places, collecting items, completing missions, and more. 
    The curriculum includes:
    practical leadership skills workshops
    decision-making and taking responsibility
    practical conflict management tasks
    development of public speaking and presentation skills
    team projects
    masterclasses by guest speakers
    T.A.L.E. activities (Teamwork, Awareness, Leadership, Empowerment)
    games and situation-based practice

    Cultural Program

    Cultural/educational program includes:

    Nestlé chocolate factory
    Cable car or train ride
    Les Diablerets and its glacier
    Rope park in nearby Aigle
    Salt mine in the town of Bex in the Rhône Valley
    Gruyère – traditional Swiss village and famous cheese factory
    Montreux and Château de Chillon
    Lausanne and Lake Geneva, also the Olympic Museum
    Geneva – visiting the lake, old town, UN building and Red Cross headquarters
    Zermatt – famous ski resort near the Swiss-Italian border, with impressive views of the Matterhorn
    Aigle - water park

    Requirements

    • All safety standards are adhered to to the maximum extent possible in housing, school, and on excursions
    • First Aiders – a trained team providing initial medical assistance, available on campus 24 hours a day.
    • First Aid Equipment Available on the Residence Premises
    • The use of cigarettes, alcohol, and all other prohibited substances is strictly controlled
    • Security – 24-hour protection with CCTV coverage across the campus.
    • Strict safety protocols when heading into the mountains
