About the School
Village Camps is an international educational organization that for more than 50 years unites children and teenagers coming from different countries of the world in international summer camps — in Switzerland, Austria and Portugal.
Educational programs include educational, sports, and recreational activities, which combine learning, adventure, and personal development and promote personal development, independence, teamwork, and cultural integration, which prepares young people for success in an international environment.
Village Camps pays special attention to the safety and well-being of students — qualified staff, their intensive training, and high standards of supervision ensure a safe and comfortable environment for each child.

Accommodation
The residence is located just a 15-minute walk from the beach and the center of the city of Santa Cruz and is part of the newly built „Pousada da Juventude“ complex. „Residence“ is exclusively allocated for Village Camps students. Camp participants have access to a large, private swimming pool, and also exclusively enjoy two activity rooms and sports fields.

Cultural/Educational Program Includes:
The program includes diverse evening activities and educational excursions:
- One-day visit to Lisbon, catamaran ride and dolphin watching
- Visit to the medieval town of Óbidos
- Local attractions: within walking distance is the beautiful town ofSanta Cruz and the famous beach Praia de Santa Cruz, as well as magnificent rocky views.

Requirements
- All safety standards are adhered to to the maximum extent possible in housing, school, and on excursions
- First Aiders – a trained team providing initial medical assistance, available on campus 24 hours a day.

- The use of cigarettes, alcohol, and all other prohibited substances is strictly controlled
- Security – 24-hour protection with CCTV coverage across the campus.
