Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is the largest university of social sciences and humanities in Lithuania. It is named after the patriarch of Lithuanian constitutional law, Professor Mykolas Romeris. The institution is distinguished by the diversity of its educational programs and unites the Law School, the Academy of Public Security (in Kaunas), the Faculty of Human and Social Studies, the Faculty of Public Governance and Business, and the Sūduva Academy (in Marijampolė).
MRU holds leading positions in terms of internationalization: the university offers 26 English-language programs, including 7 joint and double degree (Double Degree) programs with French, Austrian, and Finnish universities. In addition to Europe, it has close academic ties with leading Asian universities (South Korea, Japan, China, India).
The institution implements more than 50 international and national research projects annually. According to the European Commission, MRU is a leader in the development of social innovations in Central and Eastern Europe. Based at the university, MRU LAB, a network of social innovation laboratories, operates, which ideally connects academic circles, business, government institutions, and society through interdisciplinary projects. Today, up to 7,000 students are united in MRU's diverse international community.
