University of Pecs

The University of Pécs (University of Pécs) is one of Hungary's largest  higher educational institutions, which successfully combines classical values and modern challenges. With 20,000 students, 2,000 researchers, 22 doctoral schools, and 10 faculties, the university plays a decisive role in the region's educational, scientific, artistic, and healthcare fields. Its strategy aims to develop education, research, innovation, and public health at the highest level.

The university's influence extends beyond the borders of the city of Pécs and includes study programs and independent faculties in various cities of Hungary (Szekszárd, Kaposvár, Szombathely, Zalaegerszeg), as well as outside the country's borders (Zombor and Székelyudvarhely). For UP, innovation and talent support are of key importance. The University of Pécs closely cooperates with the business sector through the Technology Transfer Office (TTO). It ensures the integration of students' and researchers' knowledge into the economy and society. The university offers its partners and students a variety of services, including business validation of innovative ideas, intellectual property protection, management of R&D (Research and Development) projects, and support for the creation of spin-off companies.
